Martin Dale is probably the leading South West saxophonist and one of its busiest and most popular.
He runs his own quartet and appears regularly as a guest soloist. He played tenor sax with the John Burch Octet and is also a member of the London based group “Sax Appeal” and “Jack Bruce Blues Experience”.
Martin’s Plymouth based band has worked with Jim Mullen, Roy Williams, Derek Nash, Dick Pearce, Bruce Adams, Digby Fairweather and the highly acclaimed Peter King to name but a few.
Bruce Adams has been a stalwart of the UK jazz scene for almost 50 years, performing with the likes of Harry Sweets Edison, Buddy Tate, Al Cohn and Benny Waters and is widely regarded as one of the finest mainstream cornet/trumpet players in Europe. Bruce is a multiple British Jazz Awards Winner, having been nominated more than twenty times.
Bruce has featured as a guest soloist with the following big bands. Fat Chops Big Band, Nottingham Jazz Orchestra, The Scottish National Orchestra Big Band, Bobby Deans Big band Glasgow, Cote Ouest Big Band Nantes, The Hitchen Big Band Nimes. The Midland Youth Jazz Orchestra, The Wigan Youth Jazz Orchestra, The Smokin Big Band Newcastle, and the BBC Big Band.
This will be a great show to bring the “Autumn Lerryn Sessions 2025” to its fitting climax!
