Studied music at Truro College and predominantly known for her youtube channel with 4,500+ subscribers and 500,000+ hits. Her distinctive voice and style has made her a much sought after act on the South West live music scene, resulting in her performing at many top festivals and venues such as Boardmasters, Tunes In the Dunes and the Royal Albert Hall. Daisy has won the best unsigned female award in the Best of British Unsigned Awards showing that she is definitely not one to be missed!

Mog Jones

Drawing influences from the likes of The Beatles, Dolly Parton and Stevie Nicks, Mog Jones’ raw and naturally powerful vocal finds room to soar and guides you on a journey through delicately swaying guitars and subtle drum textures. Ethereal backing vocals echo gently in the mix and provide a perfect accompaniment to Mog’s charming vocal delivery. Cornwall based singer-songwriter Mog Jones’ debut album ‘On The Run’ blends glam rock, country, folk and indie, but most importantly is full of heartfelt melodic songs.

Ryan Jones

A multi-talented singer songwriter and acoustic guitarist, Ryan Jones sounds like a cross between Cat Stevens and Randy Newman with perhaps a hint of Elvis Costello thrown in for good measure. Starting out in music as a pop singer and keyboard player Ryan founded the Cornish band “The Hitchcock Rules” and toured throughout the UK, supporting acts such as Star Sailor, Seth Lakeman and The Kaiser Chiefs. Further bands included Grey Dog and Kola before Ryan returned to working as a solo acoustic guitarist and singer. He performs music in a soulful/ folk style.

mimi novalight

Mimi Novalight is a rising music artist from the United Kingdom. She’s had an interest in music since she was very small, when she liked to make up tunes in her head. Her music creating skills have developed rather a lot since then but the pleasure of producing a song is just as strong. Her initial stage name E-J03 was replaced by Mimi Novalight which she felt to be more fitting with the music that she was creating. Mimi describes her music as electro pop, sometimes with an ethereal emphasis, sometimes dance-y, sometimes more melancholic and reflective. She draws influences from a wide spectrum of sources and by constantly finding different songs as inspiration, guarantees that she will keep producing new music that she loves, and hopes her listeners will too.

rue

Growing up in the small town of Lostwithiel, Cornwall, Rue made a name for herself by conquering the local gigging scene whilst simultaneously completing her degree in BA (Hons) Contemporary World Jazz. She has been making waves in music since her first EP release “Blinkers” in 2017, having pushed her sensational vocals, impressive fingerstyle guitar playing and beautifully nu-soul inspired songs all across the UK. Rue’s ever-growing presence has gained her ongoing support from BBC Radio and other international radio stations. Rue is a treasure.” – BBC Introducing in Devon & Cornwall.

Taneal Sian

Taneal Sian is an aspiring singer-songwriter from Newquay, Cornwall. ‘The art of telling stories through song is something that has drawn me in from such a young age and I am now in a position to start writing my own music and getting it out there to share with the world’. I sing, play piano and have been writing for the past few years about everything from heartbreak to growing up to grief. I am currently writing my first EP due to be released in October of this year.

Rachael watson

Rachael Watson is an 18 year old singer-songwriter from North Cornwall. She has been performing for a number of years, mostly with her band ELMARA, singing and playing guitar, at local events and festivals, including Port Eliot, Rock Oyster and Boardmasters. Since the experience of lockdown, She have created lots of individual original material which she has performed to online and live audiences, with one of her songs, Byghan Porth, winning the MusicEL competition.

richard trethewey & steve hunt

Richard Trethewey grew up in Cornwall surrounded by music and developed a keen interest in the traditional music that tells the story of the remarkable history and people of this place. Richard is currently performing with; The Rowan Tree, Brother Sea, Didjan, Cousin Jack’s Theatre Group and as a solo artist as well.

Steve Hunt, a former member of Dalla and Corncrow, currently plays with various ceilidh bands across Cornwall and Devon and also performs occasional solo gigs.

Although infrequent collaborators, Richard and Steve have a long duo pedigree, and appear together on four CD albums: Leski – Leski, Richard Trethewey – Dig Where You Stand, Jim Causley – The Clay Hymnal and Leski – Live At The Compton deploying a plethora of acoustic stringed instruments, Richard Trethewey & Steve Hunt deliver original and traditional songs and tunes with obvious (and infectious!) enjoyment.

DAVID MATTHEWS

David Matthews is a singer-songwriter known for his originality, humour and depth, and ukulele songs about internet dating, school refusers and personal growth. David lives in West Cornwall where he also works as counsellor and runs songwriting workshops for the soul.

JO OGDEN

Jo began dabbling in Spoken Word after moving from London to Cornwall six years ago. Missing the open mic comedy scene of the big smoke, she needed another outlet to make people laugh. She finds the funny in the trials and tribulations of life and the strangeness of the everyday.

MIMI ATTENBURROW

Mimi is a local actor and performer with a degree in Acting from the Arts University Bournemouth and an MA in Creative Writing from Exeter University. After stumbling upon SproutSpoken and being supported and encouraged to perform at one of their evenings, spoken word has turned into a fun new adventure for Mimi, allowing her love of performing and writing to come to life on pop up stages and spaces around Cornwall!

JO FRANCIS

Joe Francis is a Cornish singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, his music is a blend of melodic songs, an extraordinary voice and heartfelt lyrics in a sound reminiscent of a time before digital recording, when the emphasis fell on the importance of live performance and the essence of the song.

Joe has toured the length and breadth of the UK and Ireland opening for some of the world’s most talented and high profile artists including Seal, The Feeling, Seth Lakeman, Cara Dillon, Ocean Colour Scene, Reef, Richard Thomson, Rosanne Cash and many more.

“Francis is not only carrying on a tradition ventured by such legends as Springsteen, Petty and Neil Young but developing certain aspects as he ventures along the road, marrying his fine song writing to his ability to seamlessly harness his energy.“  Americana UK

SIR GENT

With a tongue firmly pressed in his cheek, Sir Gent brings a unique quick flow style with his “upper class” spoken word delivery. Often comedic, usually anachronistic, and occasionally satirical.  He is the man behind “A mug of dark stuff” and ‘The Worst Spoken Word’. Sir Gent’s work charts subjects such as coffee addiction, seagulls, happiness and why not to watch Love island! With a collection of assorted Gentleman’s headwear, “borrowed” from the British History Museum, and a slight whiff of steampunk, he is the very personification of just what a gentleman can be. Coming straight out of Manchester’s spoken word scene; previously performing for Switchblade Poetry and former resident poet at Manchester’s ‘Why Not Cafe’. Sir Gent now brings his act to the fine people of Cornwall.
